djggory:

Remember, if the time should come, when you have to make a choice between what is right and what is easy, remember what happened to a boy who was good, and kind, and brave, because he strayed across the path of Lord Voldemort. Remember Cedric Diggory.

Yo dudes, I’m graduating from high school in less than a month and I just wanted to share some weird angsty knowledge I’ve stumbled upon in the past few years, reflecting on my high school experience.

1.) High school is really good at polarizing groups of people who might otherwise get along
2.) Teachers are usually super chill and becoming friends with them is wildly useful
3.) Sometimes people are just mean, and there’s nothing you can do about it.
4.) Popularity is completely overrated (along with social media)
5.) You won’t really need a lot of the information you get taught, but education is NEVER a waste of time.
6.) The education system is incredibly flawed.
7.) Your grades and social status in high school won’t mean as much after you graduate.
8.) Dress codes are super shitty.
9.) There is no shame in needing a counsellor to help deal with things like anxiety and stress (or any sort of mental disorder)
10.) Many people have amazing skills and talents that aren’t recognized by western educational systems
11.) You will find something in common with just about everyone if you talk to them for long enough.
12.) It’s okay to distance yourself from people if they are no longer good for you.
13.) It’s not worth it to get caught up in drama, because you probably won’t even remember it a few years down the road.
14.) If you’re ever not sure about how to analyze a literary text, just start talking about Marxism.
15.) Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell.

wowee time sure flies me personal high school

11 Questions Tag

wowee i spent way too long doing this, but thank you so much to @ravenclaw-with-a-cat for the tag!

Rules: answer the questions then make 11 of your own!

1. Umbridge or Bellatrix? I hate hate hate Umbridge (and Bellatrix for that matter), but I have more respect for Bellatrix. They are both terrible people and neither really have any redeeming qualities, but Umbridge was so two-faced and cowardly that I had to pick Bellatrix.

2. Sweet or Savory? Savory

3. Favorite color? Navy blue

4. Which season do you enjoy the most? Summer

5. Would you rather be invisible or able to fly? DEFINITELY able to fly, I feel isolated enough without invisibility lmao

6. Belle or Rapunzel? If we’re talking characters, then I like Belle better. But as for the movies, I definitely like Tangled better.

7. Favorite villain? Hades

8. Least favorite Hogwarts subject? History of Magic lol, the way they describe it in the books makes it seem excruciating

9. Marauders or Next-gen? definitely the marauders

10. Crossword puzzle or sudoku? Sudoku (but im bad at both)

11. The worst thing about The Cursed Child (or the only thing you liked about it)? The fact that a major plot-point was based on the idea that Cedric’s mild embarrassment was enough to derail the entire magic world. I liked that I was able to immerse myself into the Harry Potter world again by means other than reading the stories I’m already quite familiar with, but on the whole it just felt like JK wasn’t ready to let the series die and was grasping at straws trying to keep it alive.

Now I’ll tag @purebloodhorcrux @petuniaevans @meraudurs @dracovmalfoy @dracofcourse @hermiionegrangers @potterstinks
